GOSPEL Q&A

When hearing people preach Almighty God’s end-time work, many brothers and sisters have such doubts: Revelation clearly says that no one can take words away from the Bible or add anything to the Bible, but you say that God has done a stage of new work. Aren’t you adding something to the Bible? Can it be from God? Brothers and sisters, we may have a fellowship about this.
Revelation 22:18-19 says, “For I testify to every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
First, we have to know the background when John said these words: The book of Revelation was recorded by John after he saw the vision concerning the end time on the island of Patmos, which happened after A.D. 90. At that time, there wasn’t the New Testament (the New Testament was compiled after A.D. 300), much less the Old and New Testaments. Obviously, “this book” John spoke of doesn’t refer to the whole Bible. If we read these two verses carefully, we will find them clearly say that if anyone adds anything to “the words of the prophecy of this book” rather than if anyone adds anything to “the Bible.” So it is not the whole Bible but the Revelation that nothing can be added to or taken away from.
There is another point we need to be clear about, which is also very crucial. That is, while John gave warnings that no one could add anything to or take words away from the book, he was warning man and not God. In other words, we have to be clear about whom those words of John are directed at. If we read this verse carefully, we will find that John was saying if “anyone” adds anything to them. Clearly, this word here refers to “man” and not “God,” yet we neglected this most crucial word. We all know that prophecy is concerning what God Godself is going to do in the future. Since so, man absolutely cannot add anything to or take words away from it at will. John spoke those words to warn the people after him. How can we use these verses to limit God’s work?
We all know that in Revelation, what John saw was only a vision but not the fact of God’s end-time work, because God hadn’t done the end-time work by that time. Actually, Almighty God’s work and word in the end time are not something added to the prophecies in Revelation, but the exact fulfillment of them. Revelation 2:17 says, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna….” Here, “what the Spirit said to the churches” and “the hidden manna” refer to the word God will express in the end time. And Revelation 5:1-5 says, “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders said to me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” These verses tell us that there was a little scroll in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, which was sealed with seven seals, and that “the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David” was able to open the scroll. From this we can know that God will come in the end time to open the scroll. Thus, the content of the scroll which God will disclose in the end time is certainly not written in Revelation. Now let’s consider Revelation 10:1-4, “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was on his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.” From these verses we see that John didn’t write “those things which the seven thunders uttered” in Revelation. Thus, both the content of the “little book” and “those things which the seven thunders uttered” remain to be disclosed by God in the end time. If we restrict God’s work by the words “nothing can be added” and don’t allow God to speak new words in the end time, how can the little scroll be opened? If God doesn’t open the little scroll, how can we understand all the mysteries? Who among us can know the content of “those things which the seven thunders uttered”? Then how can the prophecies in Revelation be fulfilled? From this we can see that God must bring new work and word in the end time to have all the prophecies in Revelation fulfilled. Today, Almighty God, the end-time Christ, comes and expresses the words of life. He has opened the scroll, broken the seven seals, and unlocked the mysteries that people in the past ages and generations didn’t understand. This is exactly the utterance of the seven thunders and what the Spirit said to the churches. Almighty God says, “Those who can obey the truth and obey God’s work will all come under the name of the God incarnated the second time—the Almighty. All these people will be able to receive God’s personal leading, gain more and higher truths, gain the true human life, and see the vision that men of former times did not see: ‘And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven goldencandlesticks; And in the middle of the seven candlesticks one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breasts with a goldengirdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like to fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voiceas the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.’ (Revelation 1:12-16) This vision is the expression of all God’s disposition, and this expression of all God’s disposition is the very expression of the work of the God incarnated this time. In the torrents of chastisement and judgment, the Son of manexpresses his original disposition in a way of uttering his voice and speaking, causing all those who accept his chastisement and judgment to see the true image of the Son ofman. This image is just the true portrayal of the Son of man’s image that John saw. (Of course, those who do not accept God’s work of the Age of the Kingdom cannot see these at all.)  (from The Word Appears in the Flesh) Almighty God’s words make us understand that the great vision recorded in Revelation is just the expression of all God’s disposition and work in the end time, and that God’s end-time work is exactly the fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation and is completely from God.
To better understand that the fulfillment of the prophecy is not something added to the words of the prophecy, let’s review the historical facts. As we all know, the Old Testament prophesied that Messiah would come. The Israelites of that time all knew that the Messiah would come to save them, and that a virgin would conceive and bear a son, who would benamed Immanuel and would become the sin offering, and so on, but as to exactly how the Messiah would come and how he would serve as the sin offering for man when he came, they didn’t know. When Jesus came and did the work, all the prophecies recorded in the Old Testament concerning the Messiah were fulfilled. (Of course, the fulfilled facts didn’t match the imagination of the Israelites.) But none of the actual works the Lord Jesus did was mentioned in the prophecies, such as telling people to confess and repent, healing the sick, driving out demons, teaching people to forgive and love one another, being crucified for man, and so on. Yet can we say that Jesus’ work and word were something added to the words of the prophecy in the Old Testament? Certainly not! And we didn’t criticize the work of the Lord Jesus as something added to the words of the prophecy because in the prophecies there were no specific records concerning what the Lord Jesus did and said, nor did we doubt if his work was something from God. We all firmly believed that the Lord Jesus’ work fulfilled the prophecies of the prophets and was the work of God Godself.
Similarly, Almighty God’s end-time work is exactly the fulfillment of the prophecy in Revelation, so we cannot say that Almighty God’s work is something added to the words of the prophecy. In fact, concerning God’s end-time work, the Lord Jesus said to us in John 16:12-13, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth….” Obviously, in the end time God will speak many more words to us and will guide us into all truth, which is just the work of the word that Almighty God is doing today. As Almighty God says, “The end-time Christ uses the truths of many aspects to teach man, expose man’s essence, and dissect man’s words and deeds. These words contain the truths of many aspects such as, man’s duty, how man should obey God, how man should be faithful to God, how man should live out a normal humanity, God’s wisdom, and God’s disposition, and so on. These words are all directed at man’s essence and man’s corrupt disposition. Especially the words exposing how man rejects God are directed at man’s being the embodiment of satan and at man’s being the hostile force against God. In doing the work of judgment, God does not thoroughly speak about man’s nature with a few words but exposes, deals with, and prunes for a long time. These exposing, dealing, and pruning in various ways cannot be substituted with ordinary words but are substituted with the truths man does not have at all. Only such a way is judgment, and only such judgment can subdue man and can cause man to be sincerely convinced toward God and have a true knowledge of God. … That is to say, the end-time Christ will teach people of every place with the truth and speak all the truths to them. This is God’s work of judgment.” “When this stage of work has completely been finished, all the mysteries people do not understand will have been revealed, all the truths they do not understand will have been made clear to them, and even the way they should walk in the future and the destinations of mankind will have been told to them. These are all the works God wants to do in this stage.” (from The Word Appears in the Flesh) Thus we can see that the work of Almighty God is what Jesus has long prophesied and is indeed God’s end-time work.
Brothers and sisters, the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled. Almighty God, our long-expected Lord, has already descended. He has broken the seven seals, opened the scroll, unlocked all mysteries, and expressed the words of many truths. Do you want to hear the words of the Holy Spirit with your own ears? Do you want to receive the end-time salvation? If you do, come and read the expression of Almighty God, The Word Appears in the Flesh. You will be surprised to find that the Lord Jesus, whom you have been expecting for a long time, has come, and that the great vision in Revelation has been truly displayed before us.

The Church of Almighty God came into being because of the work of the returned Lord Jesus—the end-time Christ, “Almighty God”—in China, and it isn't established by any person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. After reading God’s expression, you will see that God has appeared.
